Pirin - Samples

In the API installation you will find fully functional samples that implement the Pirin. You can download it from PirinAPI.zip


PirinClient sample

This sample uses the Pirin API for C++ and MFC. The sample is a dialog-based MFC application which you can use to register, modify or delete domain names. To use this sample you should have Internet Explorer 5+ installed.

To use the sample run PirinClient.exe from Source\PirinClient\Release directory of this package. Be sure that N4EAPI.dll from system directory of this package is in visible directory (i.e. the same directory where the sample is or in your 'system' or 'system32' directory).

To compile the sample, open with Visual Studio 6+ the project PrirnClient.dsp in Source\PirinClient directory. You should have Headers & Libraries for Internet Explorer 5 (or 5.5) and Win32 Headers & Libraries for Windows 2000 installed. You can download it from Microsoft's download area at http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/default.aspx.


PirinCGIClient sample

This sample demonstrates how to use the Pirin API to build your own CGIs for registering domain names. You can try on-line demo of this sample here.

To use this sample you should have Windows NT or Windows 2000 web server installed. You should have cgi-bin directory with script execution enabled. Copy all files from Source\PirinCGIClient\Release directory in your cgi-bin directory. You can modify all html files to fit your web site's design. Keep names of all parameters unchanged. The entry point is the PirinDomain.phpl page. Edit pirin.cfg file with text editor (like Notepad) and replace Account, Password and Plan parameter values with your account #, password and plan #. If Test parameter equals '0' the utility will use production URL. Be sure that PirinAPI.dll from system directory of this package is in visible directory (i.e. the same directory where the PirinCGIClient.exe is or in your 'WinNT\system' or 'WinNT\system32' directory).

PerlSample sample

This sample demonstrates how to use Pirin's Perl API interface to build your own CGIs for registering domain names using Perl language.

To use this sample you should have web server and Perl installed. Under Windows platform you can use ActivePerl. You should have HTTP::Request, LWP::UserAgent and XML::Parser Perl modules installed.

Copy RegisterByPerl.phpl file from PerlSample directory of this package in your web site's home directory.

Copy Register.pl and Pirin.pm files from PerlSample directory of this package in your cgi-bin directory.

You can modify RegisterByPerl.phpl file to fit your web site's design.
