Pirin Manual - Introduction
1.1 Purpose
This document describes the procedure and operation of the Names4Ever Open Interface for registering domain names from the Partner’s point of view
1.2 Terminology
- Registrar – Names4Ever acting as domain name Registrar, accredited by ICANN
- Partner – Person or Company authorized by Names4Ever.com to provide domain name registration services to his own clients
- Registrant – The end-user of domain name registration service.
- DNRS - Domain Name Registration System.
1.3 The Open Interface
Pirin is an interface to the Names4Ever domain name registration system. The Partner can use Pirin to develop customized systems to accept orders from their Registrants and electronically interact with the Names4Ever DNRS to register, modify or delete domain names. Pirin provides the following advantages:
- Partners can create extensions to their own internal systems to interface with the Names4Ever DNRS.
- Partners can “batch” the orders and submit to Names4Ever in a bulk set. This lets them process groups of orders, on a regular basis.
- The system can be extended by the partner to perform his own procedures.
